Floating Rectangles Marble Lamp
Artists Julia Venske and Gregor Spänle have created this gorgeous lamp for Coalition Society. The solid Calacatta marble is hand carved and polished. It is a very rare stone which was popular in the design world in the sixties. It is quarried in the Carrara region, in Tuscany, Italia. "Our interest was to create a composition in itself with just different sized rectangulars. Also, we wanted the marble to float in the air. The rounded edges are a reference to the seventies." The marble will vary from lamp to lamp, but will always retain the milky white with grey, black and gold veining. An antiqued-brass double socket cluster with an adjustable shade rest and Lutron dimmer is available or just the porcelain socket which takes the half chromed bulb. The base of the lamp is approximately: 13.5" High x 14" Wide x 8" Deep.
